GFWC Greater Ocala Woman’s Club works to raise awareness on domestic violence by supporting existing activities, working with various established programs and organizations, and initiating educational opportunities for club members and local citizens. The Signature Program’s goal is to increase awareness of and help prevent the widespread occurrence of violence against women in communities across the nation—and the globe. Areas of focus include Intimate Partner Violence, Child Abuse, Teen Dating Violence, Campus Sexual Assault, Elder Abuse, Violence Against Native American Women, Military Sexual Assault, and Human Trafficking.
The goal of GFWC’s Signature Program is to increase awareness and prevent violence against women worldwide, with a focus on human trafficking. GFWC Clubwomen create awareness campaigns to educate communities about human trafficking. We also advocate for legislation to hold traffickers accountable and oppose laws that decriminalize human trafficking.

Create programs and projects that include art, music, dance, drama, theatre, and other arts-related areas, both traditional and innovative. Art plays an important part in the lives of GFWC members, as Art helps to instill confidence, provides opportunities, and broadens club women’s horizons. Moreover, members are the catalysts in their communities for encouraging and actively promoting all forms of art.
